THE LORD KILLS

This is a mirror of "THE LORD KILLS" by Darwin Fish.

See also How Can A God Of Love Send People To Hell?

It is phenomenal how many "Christians" we have met who do not believe God kills people. This issue is typically a common point of contention between us and those who oppose us. Yet, the fact that God does indeed kill people is so "in-our-face" obvious both in daily life as God takes people out, and in the Biblical record, that it is truly safe to say, only a fool would believe otherwise. This "God doesn't kill people" mentality is akin to what is found in an out of print Seventh-day Adventists' booklet entitled Till the Morning. This booklet states,

"God is often blamed for death. I have seen people come [sic] bitter and hate God because they thought He took an innocent child's life. On the contrary, there is much evidence that God is the Life-giver -- the Source of life -- not the life-taker." i

This is so stupid. God is indeed "the life-taker." For just a few examples, Scripture records for us that He killed ii every single human being on the entire face of the earth, all except 8 people, in the flood. iii He killed the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them. iv He killed Judah's sons, Er and Onan. v He sought to kill Moses, but Zipporah spared him this fate. vi The Lord killed all the firstborn of Egypt. vii And, even though it is recorded that Saul committed suicide, Scripture still notes that "He killed him." viii

Moreover, in only one incident, the Lord killed thousands of the Israelites for complaining. ix Yet, He killed them for complaining more than once. x In Exodus 22:22-24 He warned that He would kill them if they afflicted any widow or fatherless child. And as it turned out, Scripture records that the Lord was not well-pleased with the Israelites, so "their bodies were scattered in the wilderness." xi In other words, He killed them.

The Lord killed Aaron's sons, Nadab and Abihu, for worshipping Him in the wrong way. xii The Lord opened up the earth and swallowed alive Korah and his company. xiii The Lord killed Nabal. xiv The Lord struck Uzzah dead when he touched the ark. xv The Lord killed Jeroboam. xvi The Lord killed Jehoram. xvii And, when He so pleases, xviii the Lord not only desires to kill, but prevents any circumstance that would stand in the way of His killing. For this was the case with Eli's sons, as it is written, Eli said to his sons,

"If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the Lord, who will intercede for him?" Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the Lord desired to kill them. xix

Furthermore, God killed Ananias and Sapphira for lying to the Holy Spirit, xx and He killed Herod for not giving glory to Him. xxi Isaiah prophesied the Lord would slay the wicked in Isaiah 65:15. Jesus promised the church in Thyatira that He would kill the children of Jezebel, xxii and in the future Jesus will kill the Antichrist army with the sword that proceeds out of His mouth. xxiii

God not only slays the wicked, but the righteous as well, as Job said.

Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. xxiv

Jesus warned,

And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! xxv

It is downright stupidity to say that God "is not the life-taker," or to intimate in any way that God does not kill. He indeed takes life, as He Himself says,

Now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; nor is there any who can deliver from My hand. xxvi

Romans 11:36 says, "all things" are "of Him and through Him and to Him." Any and all who die, die by the hand of God. For it is all His doing. xxvii It is all His work. xxviii And, yes,

The Lord kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. xxix

As God Himself admitted in Hosea 6:5,

I have slain them by the words of my mouth. xxx

This killing includes even babies, as God says also in Hosea 9:16,

Ephraim is stricken, their root is dried up; they shall bear no fruit. Yes, were they to bear children, I would kill the darlings of their womb. xxxi

Therefore, the Lord does indeed kill, and so we have stated this in our tract, along with other awesome truths:

Do You Know That. . .?

GOD IS TO BE FEARED

But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever His soul desires, that He does. Therefore I am terrified at His presence; when I consider this, I am afraid of Him. xxxii

. . .do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! xxxiii

GOD HATES

. . .for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil. . .As it is written, 'Jacob, I have loved, but Esau I have hated.' xxxiv

The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. xxxv

GOD LOVES

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. xxxvi

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. xxxvii

GOD IS ANGRY

God is angry every day. xxxviii

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. . . xxxix

GOD CREATES PEOPLE FOR HELL

The Lord has made all for Himself, yes even the wicked for the day of doom. xl

GOD CREATES PEOPLE FOR HEAVEN

Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him. xli

Does not potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?. . .and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy which He had prepared beforehand for glory. xlii

GOD SENDS LIES

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth . . . xliii

GOD BRINGS DISASTERS

I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things. xliv

If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it? xlv

GOD CAUSES ALL, EVEN SIN xlvi

O Lord, why have you made us stray from Your ways, and hardened our heart from your fear? xlvii

Do not incline my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men who work iniquity; xlviii

GOD MOCKS PEOPLE

Because you disdained all my counsel; and would have none of my rebuke, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, when your terror comes like a storm. . . xlix

Indeed, they belch with their mouth; swords are in their lips; For they say, 'Who hears?' But you, O Lord, shall laugh at them; You shall have all the nations in derision. l

GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. li

GOD IS PLURAL

Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. . . lii

THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS SEVEN SPIRITS

Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ. . . liii

. . .and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God. . . liv

GOD IS ONE AND THE ONLY TRUE GOD

Hear O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! lv

Before Me there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord: and besides Me there is no savior. lvi

THE LORD IS A MAN

The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name. lvii

It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me. lviii

THE LORD IS NOT A MAN

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. lix

JERUSALEM IS GOD

Walk about Zion, and go all around her. Count her towers; mark well her bulwarks; consider her palaces; that you may tell it to the generation following. For this is God, our God forever and ever; lx

JESUS IS GOD

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. lxi

JESUS IS THE WORD lxii

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. lxiii

He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. lxiv

JESUS DIED FOR ALL MEN

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth...who gave Himself a ransom for all. lxv

And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. lxvi

HELL IS ETERNAL

And they shall go forth and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, and their fire is not quenched. lxvii

. . . he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night. . . lxviii

MOST PEOPLE GO TO HELL

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. . .the way that leads to life. . .few find it. lxix

HE WHO SINS IS OF THE DEVIL lxx

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. lxxi

ALL WILL BE JUDGED

God. . .commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead. lxxii

. . .who 'will render to each one according to his deeds': eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but unrighteousness-indignation and wrath. lxxiii

TRUST AND LOVE THE TRUTH TO BE SAVED

. . .and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not recieve the love of the truth, that they might be saved. lxxiv

If you abide in my word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth. . . lxxv

SALVATION IS APART FROM WORKS

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness. apart from works. lxxvi

WORKS MUST BE PRESENT lxxvii

But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? . .You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. lxxviii

ALL SCRIPTURE IS TO BE BELIEVED lxxix

. . . Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. lxxx

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. lxxxi

BELIEVERS AGREE ON ALL DOCTRINE

We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. lxxxii

He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. lxxxiii

TRUE BELIEVERS JUDGE lxxxiv

Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment. lxxxv

But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. lxxxvi

TRUE BELIEVERS HATE

Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies. lxxxvii

If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. lxxxviii

TRUE BELIEVERS LOVE

If someone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? lxxxix

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us. . . xc

BELIEVERS PRAY AGAINST PEOPLE xci

Let death seize them; let them go down alive into hell, for wickedness is in their dwellings and among them. xcii

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, 'How long O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?' xciii

BELIEVERS CONTEND xciv

. . .I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. xcv

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. . . xcvi

SUICIDE = HELL!

For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end. . . xcvii

But he who endures to the end shall be saved. xcviii

CHRISTMAS IS A LIE! xcix

God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and truth. c

But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. ci

MOST DEBT IS UNGODLY

Owe no one anything except to love one another. . . cii

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. ciii

SELF-LOVE (self-esteem) IS NO VIRTUE

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves. . . civ

GOD HATES DIVORCE

For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce. . . cv

Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. . .And a husband is not to divorce his wife. cvi

MEN DO NOT SEEK GOD

. . . There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God. cvii

For the wicked cviii boasts of his heart's desire; he blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord. The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. cix

WOMEN ARE TO BE SILENT IN CHURCH

Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive. . . cx

Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. cxi

FALSE TEACHERS ARE IN THE CHURCH cxii

But there were also false prophets among the people even as there will be false teachers among you. . . cxiii

For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness. . . cxiv

EXTRAS

God is not performing the signs and wonders of Acts today. cxv

The KJV is not the only legitimate translation. cxvi

Catholics are not saved. cxvii

Denominations are ungodly. cxviii

The Rapture does not happen until the Apostasy and the anti-christ is revealed. cxix

If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord come! cxx

TRUE PASTORS EXPOSE FALSE TEACHERS cxxi

Are you a "Christian" on your way to hell? If you follow a false teacher you are! cxxii

Do you believe that all people went to hell before Christ, since, repentance could not be achieved before he came to earth?

  13. The Gospel was preached to Abraham, according to Galatians 3:

5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.

And Christ preached also to the people who died in the flood, according to 1 Peter 3:

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
