1 Now then, there is no condemnation to those in Christ Joshua, i who do not walk according to flesh, but according to spirit. 2 For the law of the spirit of the life in Christ Joshua set me free from the law of the sin and the death. 3 For the inability of the law, in that it was weak through the flesh, the God sending his own son in likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned the sin in the flesh. 4 So that, the righteous requirement of the law ii might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to flesh, but according to spirit.
5 For those who are according to flesh think the things according to the flesh, but those according to spirit, the things according to the spirit. 6 For the thinking of the flesh is death. But, the thinking of the spirit is life and peace. iii 7 Because, the thinking of the flesh is hostile toward God, iv for it also is unable. v 8 And those who are in flesh are not able to please God.
9 But, you are not in flesh, but in spirit, if indeed God's spirit dwells in you. vi But if someone does not have Christ's spirit, vii this one is not of him. 10 And if Christ is in you, indeed the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 And if the spirit of the one who raised Joshua from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised the Christ from the dead will also make alive your mortal bodies through the dwelling of his spirit in you.
12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to flesh, you are about to die. viii But if by spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by God's spirit, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of bondage again unto fear, ix but you received a spirit of adoption, in which we cry out, “Abba, the father.” 16 The spirit itself x bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. 17 And if children, also heirs, indeed heirs of God, and fellow heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer with, xi so that we might also be glorified with.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of the present time are unworthy to the glory about to be revealed in us. xii 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of the God. 20 For the creation was subjected to the futility, not willingly, but because of the one who subjected upon hope, 21 that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage of the corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of the God.
22 For we know that all the creation groans together and agonizes together xiii until the now. 23 And not only, but also ourselves having the first fruit of the spirit, also we ourselves groan xiv in ourselves, eagerly waiting adoption, the redemption of our body. xv 24 For we were saved in the hope. But, hope seen is not hope. For what someone sees, why does he also hope? 25 And if we hope what we do not see, with perseverance xvi we eagerly wait.
26 And likewise, the spirit also helps with our weakness, for what we should pray to the extent that is necessary, we do not know. But, the spirit itself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings. 27 And the one who searches the hearts xvii has known what the thinking of the spirit is, because he intercedes for saints according to God. 28 And we have known that to those who love the God all things work together for good to those who are called according to purpose.
29 For whom he foreknew, xviii also he predestined to be the same form xix of the image of his son, unto him being the firstborn xx among many brethren. 30 And whom he predestined, these also he called. xxi And whom he called, these also he justified. And whom he justified, these also he glorified. xxii
31 What then shall we say to these things? If the God is for us, who is against us? 32 Indeed, he who did not spare his own son, xxiii but for us all delivered him up, how will he not freely give us with him all things? xxiv 33 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies. 34 Who is the one who condemns? xxv Christ is the one who died, and furthermore also was raised up, who also is at God's right, who also is interceding for us. xxvi 35 Who shall separate us from the love of the Christ? Tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or hunger, xxvii or nakedness, or danger, or a sword? 36 Just as it has been written that, “For your sake we are put to death all day long. We were considered as sheep for slaughter.” xxviii
37 But in all these things we completely prevail xxix through the one who loved us. 38 For I have been persuaded xxx that neither death nor life nor messengers nor rulers nor powers nor things present nor things about to be, 39 nor height nor depth nor some other creation shall be able to separate us from the love of the God that is in Christ Joshua our lord. xxxi
