Someone asked how I know I'm right.
Why is your way the true way. I got told that you don't need to justify yourselves, but I want to learn. I think it's pretty weak when people cannot talk.
Everyone knows the true way, i but God causes most of them to deny it. ii
No no no, sir. No copy and pasting. I will ask you want to have a dialogue here.
My argument is founded on Scripture.
Yes but you are an intelligent human being, are you not? I feel like a conversation will better help you, instead of just copy and pasting.
Intelligence is relying on Scripture. iii
I just thought it would be interesting to learn why you believe and what you believe in, because no one knows who is absolutely right until we hit the finish line. I was hoping to see you from your point of view, but obviously you cannot have a civilized conversation.
You can know who is right, iv and if you wait till "the finish line" it will be too late. v
This might be the most low energy cult that I have ever had the pleasure I was speaking to.
We aren't a cult, but that accusation was made against believers in Scripture. vi
Why do you believe that you have the true path? Why are the other paths wrong? Why do you hate gays? If you're talking about God's love, wouldn't he love everybody no matter what they choose?
Those who are on the true path will believe and know that they are on the true path. God indeed loves everyone, vii but He also hates everyone. And He hates homosexuality.
Any person can hide behind scripture and say this is how they feel, but it takes a true individual its true intellect to be able to put that in their own words, and that's what I'm looking for to find a true an honest person of what they truly believed to have a discussion with.
I will only rely on Scripture to make my argument. Such is not a wrong thing to do. You have set up a false standard.
If God loves and he hates everybody, then he hates you just as much as he hates the gays. Why are you guys so anti-gay?
We are "so" because Scripture says so. We also hate fornicators and adulterers and murderers and thieves. viii
You hate fornicators, but you know Jesus hung out with fornicators, and he even loved them.
Jesus also hated them. ix Also, you have hypocritically relied on Scripture for your argument.
Yes I just gave up. We're going to go scripture for scripture, and this is going to be this long debate about whose book is right.
What is your book?
I'm more of like a mash-up of religions. I believe that if you are a good person that good things will happen for you. Every religion has the same core 10 principles that you should abide by. I do not know who is right; I just try to live my life the best I can, and I find it interesting listening to others and why they believe in what they believe.
You can't be a good person. x
Yes you can do good, to act so you can make people's lives easier. That is in fact being a good person. I know that good is subjective, but when you see someone who needs help and you help them, that is good and that is how I try to live my life.
Your goodness is disgusting to God xi because you lack faith. xii
You can either wait until you get your just rewards on the afterlife, or you can make this life a little better for everybody. I think we all can agree that Jesus and God would want you to make everyone a little bit better instead of tossing your nose in the air because I do not believe what you believe.
I try to make everyone a little better by warning them. This is the most loving thing I can do. xiii
This is a metaphorical showbox you are standing on. You are not supposed to be preaching on one, and I don't think you are without sin, so who are you to judge anyone?
Scripture commands believers to judge.
- Romans 1:
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
- Matthew 7:
13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
- Proverbs 3:
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding; - 2 Peter 1:
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
- Hebrews 9:
27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
- Acts 28:
22 But we desire to hear from you what you think; for concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere.”
- John 3:
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
- 1 Corinthians 6:
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
- Psalm 5:
5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity. - Romans 3:
12 They have all turned aside;
They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one.” - Isaiah 64:
6 But we are all like an unclean thing,
And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
Have taken us away. - Proverbs 28:
One who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
Even his prayer is an abomination. - Proverbs 27:
6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend,
But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
