Daniel P. Barron

Sometimes something that sounds harsh is just an example of tough love.

outsider987_654: Are there Christians out there that are gay and believe it’s a sinful lifestyle?

Daniel: There's no such thing as a Christian homosexual. i

Check out A True Church. Don't go to hell like the rest of the world!

DiZXIII: Then what am I?

Daniel: If you're a homosexual, you are going to hell. You are not a Christian. Your church is also not in the truth, ii so even if you weren't a homosexual you'd be going to hell.

Daramore: So there can be Christians that lie, cheat, steal, and be horrible drunks, but not one who is strongly attracted to their own sex? I don't buy that. The Bible DOES say that practicing homosexuality is a sin, it does not say it is unforgivable. It does say asking for forgiveness while fully intending to not change your ways will not be given grace. I absolutely believe that you can be a Christian who is homosexual as long as you are fighting that urge (same as a drunk can be a Christian as long as they keep fighting that urge).

Daniel: If someone is living a lifestyle of stealing, cheating, lying, or being drunk, they are not a Christian and they are going to hell. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11 iii) I have not said that a homosexual cannot repent, turn away from their sin, and be forgiven. But to do so, they would no longer be a homosexual.

Daramore: After coming to Christ you have never committed the same sin twice? Does a drunk who always seeks to live righteously, even if they fail, struggle in vain? I do not believe it, as long as the heart cries for change, works for righteousness, even when they fall short, as long as they struggle for repentance believing in the promise of salvation, they will be saved.

Daniel: Yes, but I don't make a lifestyle out of sin. The heart doesn't "cry for change" ; it seeks evil. (Genesis 6:5 iv)

The-Obvious-Truth: You cannot "repent" from a biological trait.

Daniel: Whatever you call it, the Bible says some have done it. 1 Corinthians 6:

11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

vhsbetamax: I think Daniel is a troll. Look at what sentence is on his profile.

Media_Offline: If true, that is a relief. Ugh. Every word of this (especially your flair) v is utterly disgusting and 100% in opposition to the teachings of Christ. Disgusting. vi

Daniel: Show me what scripture I am against.

Media_Offline: I absolutely could but, as the burden of proof is on those making grand claims, I believe it's you who should provide scripture supporting your condemnations.

Daniel: There is plenty of scripture referenced in the links I have provided.

ThePolyglotLexicon: Checked out this guy's profile... "Jesus Christ caused 9/11." His argument pretty much hinges on "my translation of the Bible so happens to have used the word 'homosexual' vii and my translation is the literal word of God."

outsider987_654: I did take a look at it...it just sounded hateful and judgmental. I didn’t realize God gave us that much discerning power to decide which people were going to Hell; I thought that was within his jurisdiction. I thought the role we were supposed to play was to love others because of our love for God. You don’t come across like a very loving person to me.

FlatHelicopter: Sometimes something that sounds harsh is just an example of tough love. God’s love is bigger than our watered down human conception of love and it also includes His holy judgment.

Daniel: You thought wrong. Judging is believing. It's out of love that I warn people.

Tobogonator: Don't pay too much attention. His replies and statement imply he is a troll. viii

  1. See also "Homosexuality and Marriage." ^
  2. He identifies as "Southern Baptist." ^
  3. 1 Corinthians 6:

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

  4. Genesis 6:

5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

  5. My "flair" says, "Most Churches Lead to Hell." ^
  6. This guy identifies as "Atheist" so I'm not sure why he even cares. ^
  7. Our argument does not hinge on that word. There are other verses that specifically describe the activity.

    Romans 1:

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

    Leviticus 18:

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.

     ^

  8. Darwin: So, what is a troll to these people? Someone who says things they disagree with and don't like?
    Daniel: Pretty much.
