cafedude: i Don't Christian Creationists have more reason to protect God's creation than evolutionists do? ii Why does it seem like it's the evolutionists who are more concerned about protecting the earth?
If you believe that God personally created every species on earth as Creationists do, then wouldn't you be more motivated to make sure that none of God's special creations go extinct? Wouldn't you be motivated to live in such a way that you try to reduce your carbon footprint?
But from what I can tell, it's primarily folks with an evolutionary mindset that are taking action to save species and slow climate change. Why is that? Why aren't Christians who are creationists out front on these issues? Why do they seem to care so little about God's creation while they go about trying to prove that God created it and it didn't just evolve?
blueshandler: iii One side destroys the planet. The other side destroys the species. Kind of hard to believe hypocrites.
The_Sly_Sloth: i Can you explain please?
blueshandler: Abortion, gay marriage, legalized drugs, doctor assisted suicide, and gender dysphoria will all lead to less children in the world. The more this is accepted the less children there will be. The more accepted it becomes the more people will choose these because they are easier for people. People do what is easy.
TheSilverNiKo: iv We kinda need less children. Over population is a huge issue.
blueshandler: I guess you live in a bigger city. Take a cross country drive. Overpopulation is a lie. There’s plenty of open space. God controls everything. He can make more food to feed everyone. Super rich people horde resources. That’s one of the reasons people starve. Do you see how much food America throws away? There is plenty of food to feed the world but greed starves people. They will show you pictures of starving people and ask the poor to feed them. They would never do it. You don’t get rich by giving your money away. The rich own all the media. They are the ones who control the information you get. Stop believing lies.
TheSilverNiKo: The issue is that it just isn't true. You live in a country with little overpopulation. Many countries have high population density, the current birthrate is unsustainable, not necessarily in the west but definitely in the East. Food supplies aren't really that high compared to the global impoverished population.
blueshandler: God created everything. He controls everything. You are believing lies. Trust God. This is why God didn’t want a census taken. He knew people would think there was too many people and start killing people off. That’s what is going on.
Daniel:
This is why God didn’t want a census taken. He knew people would think there was too many people and start killing people off.
Where can this be found in Scripture?
blueshandler: Do you see how people think there’s too many people today? Do you see how we have abortion on an express lane? That’s the link. You have to think logically.
Daniel: I do not see you referencing any Scripture.
blueshandler: Why do you think God didn’t want a census taken? God doesn’t say everything in the Bible. It’s something you will understand when you believe in truth.
1 Corinthians 2:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
Daniel: Scripture doesn't say why He didn't want a census taken.
Proverbs 30:
6 Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
blueshandler: That’s not adding to His words. That’s explaining His word. Do you not see how people think abortion and killing people is okay because they think we are overpopulated? That is logic. Adding to the Bible is forbidden. That means adding scripture. That doesn’t mean explaining scripture.
Daniel: The thing you are explaining is not found in Scripture; you are adding it to Scripture.
blueshandler: No I am not. I am linking scripture to the world. That’s is what Jesus Christ was doing. He was trying to help you understand it. You want to kill people for population control. You are of your father the Devil.
God is the creator of life. Do you think He would support killing them before they were born just because of population growth?
Daniel: I am not in favor of population control and I believe abortion is murder. God, who creates life, also kills.
TheSilverNiKo: That is a very dangerous way to think. We have real problems in this world, voting off of faith in a 2000 year old book is a bad idea for you and society.
Nepycros: iv All I hear is "turn off your brain, having any concerns about things I disagree with is heresy." Weird.
metaknight1138: i God used a census to deliver His Son's birth mother to the right place. At least two were taken while the Israelites wandered in the desert. Heck, we named the book Numbers after those two censuses. Are you referring to the specific census that Joab had reluctance in carrying out in 2 Samuel? v That census was not approved by God because it was rooted in David's pride. vi
Daniel:
legalized drugs will lead to less children in the world.
How do you figure?
blueshandler: Have you heard of the Opioid epidemic? Every dead person is one less person to help reproduce.
Daniel: That's from legal drugs.
blueshandler: Yes and they want to legalize all drugs. Do you think legalized drugs are safer than illegal drugs? You just admitted legalized drugs are an epidemic. That’s what I was saying from the beginning. Legalizing drugs will add to the death toll.
Daniel: I think a drug is made more safe when it is made legal, and there is no Scriptural basis for drug prohibition.
blueshandler: Look up drunkenness.
1 Corinthians Chapter 6
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Peter 5:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Daniel: Those verses do not say drugs are bad. It doesn't say drugs are bad for the temple that is a believer's body. "Be sober" isn't "don't ever use any drugs."
blueshandler: 2 Chronicles 16:12-13 King James Version (KJV)
12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians.
13 And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
Luke 5:31
“And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.”
Daniel: Those verses also do not make prohibition against drugs.

Darwin: Interesting verse in light of the beginning of the conversation: "The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth." (Rev. 11:18)

- 2 Samuel 24:
Again the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, “Go, number Israel and Judah.”
2 So the king said to Joab the commander of the army who was with him, “Now go throughout all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and count the people, that I may know the number of the people.”
3 And Joab said to the king, “Now may the Lord your God add to the people a hundred times more than there are, and may the eyes of my lord the king see it. But why does my lord the king desire this thing?” 4 Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab and against the captains of the army. Therefore Joab and the captains of the army went out from the presence of the king to count the people of Israel.
- 2 Samuel 24:
10 And David’s heart condemned him after he had numbered the people. So David said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done; but now, I pray, O Lord, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”
