I don’t just talk to people about The Bible because I enjoy it. There is a serious warning they need to hear. A warning that falls on deaf ears; that is until someone goes and dies. Then all of a sudden everybody is “praying for him” and hoping that he’s in peace. Guess what stupid: it’s too late now! You should have prayed for him when he was alive, so that maybe God would have caused him to believe. Now he’s dead, and probably in hell. ⁱ Of course, I’m the bad guy for pointing all this out.

Prayers to who? What’s the point of acting all spiritual for someone when it’s already too late for him?

ew [what] is wrong with u. prayers to his family and friends that they can make it through his loss, i know how it is to lose close people, [bad stuff] is devastating. sooo………….[go away]??? and if your so holy like u act, then u should be praying for him too! praying he finds peace and is in a better place than we are now, ESPECIALLY away from people like you who say these things. get over yourself, you’ll never have 12 wives, i really doubt you will get lucky enough to have one ! ⁱⁱ

His fate is sealed. No amount of praying will change it. You should pray every day, and in private. ⁱⁱⁱ And you should be thankful for all things, even tragedy, because God has caused it.

So I went away. I’m not one to overstay my welcome. That said, I’m not sorry for what I said, and I’ll say it again. Do I say these things because I like offending people? Not necessarily. ^v I say these things because they are true, and because it’s a matter of life and death. Josiah is already dead, but his friends can still be saved. On any other day, they don’t take these words seriously. Today they are thinking about their own life and how quickly it can end. ^vi Rather than make a public show out of praying for the dead, ^vii they should go in private and ask God for salvation.

1. I don’t know of anybody in his group of friends, let alone the state of Connecticut, that believes in the entire Bible. I met the kid a couple times and was left with no impression that he believed. It’s safe to assume that he died while still lacking faith, and therefor it’s safe to assume that he will not be seeing the kingdom of heaven. ^
2. I don’t seek to have any wives. 1 Corinthians 7:
   

   27 Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? Do not seek a wife.

3. Matthew 6:
   

   6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

4. That’s right you shouldn’t encourage me to commit suicide; I would surely go to hell if I did that. ^
5. Romans 9:
   

   33 As it is written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense, And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

   2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

   60 Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”
