All things were created through Him and for Him.

The bible tells us that God is incapable of doing bad things. The enemy causes these bad things to happen. He is the source of all of this.

The Bible says God creates everything, (Colossians 1:16i) even the bad things. (Isaiah 45:7ii) He causes all things. (Romans 11:36iii)

  1. Colossians 1:
    16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

  2. Isaiah 45:
    7 I form the light and create darkness,
    I make peace and create calamity;
    I, the Lord, do all these things.’

    Darwin: Yes, a more literal translation of Isaiah 45:7 is "I create . . . bad." The Hebrew word for "bad" here is used for any bad thing, from "bad" figs (e.g. Jeremiah 24:2-3) to "bad" actions (i.e. sin, evil, e.g. Jeremiah 7:30).

  3. Romans 11:
    36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
