The same is a thief and a robber.

Two people expressed disagreement with our teaching that most churches lead to hell.

It's okay to disagree about secondary doctrine, as long as we agree on the primary stuff; even if we don't, we should still be polite and graceful.

We can agree to disagree on "non essentials?" What in the Bible is not essential? How many things can we disagree on and still be on the narrow path? i How many of the words that come out of God's mouth are not essential? ii How many things can we disagree on and still be of "one mind?"

With what you believe, iii can you justify John 3:16? iv

God loves the many people He creates for hell.

But it says: "That whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." I have yet to be convinced of your views, and I KNOW that Jesus died and rose again for me, that I might live. I know that I will spend eternity with him.

What are you not convinced about?

That all mainstream pastors aren't saved, and that whoever follows them are not saved.

How do you reconcile all of those mainstream guys being in the truth with the verses we cite on our website? Pick one of these people that we have an article on: how do you reconcile their teachings with the verses we cite?

The base verse is Matthew 7:13. I would argue that the small path is Christianity, and the broad way is anyone who doesn't put their trust in Jesus.

The context of Matthew 7 is that of false Christianity. Of people who claim to believe but who don't. v

Oh, and I absolutely do NOT agree with the shirt vi in the sense that Jesus is directly responsible. Allowed and ordained, sure; not caused.

So then 9/11 wasn't of Christ, to Christ, and through Christ? vii

Is your trust in Christ? Or the particular way YOU follow him?

These are the same thing. You will not trust Christ and follow Him in a different way from the other sheep. viii

And what about the great commission? "Go and make disciples of all nations." ix In other words, God wants Christianity to be well-known and for himself to have followers.

That has already been done. x

It SOUNDS like you are preaching works based salvation to me.

Salvation is not by works.

You think that's literal? You think based off of one verse, that the gospel was preached EVERYWHERE by the time Paul wrote that letter?

Is Paul a liar? Do men have an excuse? xi Did Abraham not know the Gospel? xii

That because Abraham heard some good news, the great commission has been fulfilled? Why did Jesus even come along then?

He came to fulfill the law. xiii He came to bring a sword. xiv He came to send fire on the earth. xv He came to give grace and truth. xvi He came to save sinners. xvii He came with the greater and more perfect tabernacle. xviii

I don't disagree with most of what you are saying; I guess it's just some of the application that I disagree with.
Why would you assume someone like Ray Comfort isn't a brother in Christ?

We don't assume. We have an article detailing Comfort's many heresies. Have you not seen it?

He is a heretical fool because he supports christians that have some small differences? Obviously, don't support people who are clearly sinning, but c'mon!

Those "small differences" take you off the narrow path. These people are in fact "clearly sinning."

Trusting in Christ rather than your own works is not enough?

You trust in Ray Comfort's false christ, rather than the true Christ of the Bible.

Everyone sins, but I mean unrepentantly. Ray Comfort would gladly confess to any sin you bring to him. I trust in the BIBLICAL Christ. God in the flesh, who died for our sin and rose again.

If he follows the law without faith, it is disgusting to God. xix The Christ you describe is a different christ from Comfort's.

  1. Matthew 7:

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

  2. Matthew 4:

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

  5. Matthew 7:

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

  8. John 10:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.

  11. Romans 1:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

  12. Galatians 3:

8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.”

11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.

  19. Isaiah 64:

6 But we are all like an unclean thing,
    And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;
We all fade as a leaf,
And our iniquities, like the wind,
    Have taken us away.
