The Free State Project announced that it doesn’t like Ian Freeman any more. How convenient that the primary channel through which it collects members into its cult is no longer needed now that “the move” has been triggered. i And whatever, I couldn’t care less. The guy is creepy UnSavory Garnish; I’ve spoken out against him for years now. But interestingly enough, the reason he’s been cut off is in regard to his views on the age of consent!
I had this topic come up on twitter recently. People calling me a pedophile for saying that a sixteen year old can be sexy and that old-hags typically aren’t. I had to point out that pedophilia is directed at the prepubescent. ii People living in the puritanical hell of USSA seem to have forgotten that sexual maturity cannot be changed by fiat; even those “liberty minded” folk who would actually sign up to undo some of these nonsensical laws. Not that anybody can ever be old enough to consent to sex, but it’s especially absurd to bar the most fertile and attractive among us from engaging in it! I suspect that people cling to these limits, not because of a desire to protect the children, but because of their own fear. Fear of being a man, and taking something without begging first for permission. iii And fear that the actual reason nobody has bothered to rape them is that they aren’t attractive. By keeping this behavior safely taboo, nobody has to confront the ugly truth that they are all a fat lot of wimps.
Don’t get me wrong though. I’m still a very old-fashioned guy. Actually, much more old-fashioned than you. The Bible imposes no limits on what age a girl must be before she may be given away by her father. iv It also imposes no limits on when you may purchase alcohol, but the puritanical idiots of New England felt the need to restrict that too. The fact of the matter is, these laws aren’t based on The Bible, and proponents of them are surely on their way to hell. So I say on behalf of God, go drink and screw teenage girls! Just don’t get drunk, v and make sure to marry them afterwards. vi
