Sounds like extortion.

Daniel: Hi.
volkov: Yes. Hello.
Daniel: Check out http://atruechurch.info/ - let me know if you disagree with anything.
volkov: I see you like the extortion scheme in Oklahoma.
Daniel: Hm? What do you mean?
volkov: http://atruechurch.info/hell.html
Daniel: Yes, we believe what the Bible says about hell: that it is a real place God sends people who don't believe in Him.
volkov: Sounds like extortion.
Daniel: How so?
volkov: Threatening harm on people who do not abide by your commands is a crime called extortion. i
Daniel: God defines what is right and wrong. How can you find fault with Him?
volkov: Why would the creator of universes engage in extortion?
Daniel: I don't agree that it is extortion, but why does He send people to hell? To show His wrath. (Romans 9:22 ii)
volkov: I'm sure this decision is without any fault. But the question still stands. Extortion is a tactic used by gang members, thieves, organized crime. It's petty and cowardly.
Daniel: So then you do not believe the Bible?
volkov: I don't believe an entity that is powerful enough to create universes would stoop to a petty crime.
Daniel: The Bible says in no uncertain words that hell is a reality that awaits you for not believing it. May God save you.
volkov: Fine. That's still extortion. I have no power over any god. He will "save me" whether he wants to or not.
Daniel: Correct. iii Oh wait, how could He save you if He didn't want to?
volkov: Maybe he won't. How could I know?
Daniel: Most people aren't and won't be saved.
volkov: So you say.

  1. Darwin: The government does this. So, the government is committing a crime? How does he know it is a crime? Says who?

  2. Romans 9:

22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,

  3. I though at first he had said "whether I want him to or not." ^
